Dry cleaning involves the use of a liquid solvent, in contrast to the traditional washing method using water and detergent. The solvent is meant to have little to zero water content, hence the term, dry cleaning.
Most dry cleaning solvents contain toxic chemicals (perchloroethylene) that may be harmful, especially when not used properly. As professional cleaners, we make sure to use this solvent accordingly to ensure that it is safe for you, your clothes, and the environment.
Ideally, it should not because water is not used in the process.
Your dry-cleaned garments will be ready to wear, but the chemical’s scent may take time to wear off.
